We just got word from the Google Adwords API team that there was an error in their API when reporting key metrics and it has now been fixed.
Between May Thursday, 21 May 2015 12:52 PM and Saturday, 23 May 2015 12:22 AM Pacific Daylight Time, there was an error in Google’s API reporting for many of the metrics aside from clicks, costs and impressions. So if you were running JimmyData reports during this period you may wish to refresh your metrics to get correct data. Affected data included but is not limited to:
- Conversions (ConversionRate, ConversionValue, EstimatedTotalConversions, etc.) -> ouch!
- Impression Share (SearchImpressionShare, SearchRankLostImpressionShare, etc.)
- Invalid Clicks (InvalidClicks, InvalidClickRate)
If you have been having issues with inconsistent data during this period please refresh and re-run your reports. We now expect the data to be sound.
Since thursday we have had numerous support requests regarding incorrect data during this period and have been working hard to fix the issues however due to the API error we were unable to correctly resolve these.
If they still do not appear to be correct please come back to us with details on your issue.
Google’s official note is not yet published online however the email can be found below:
