eCommerce in Google Analytics is getting bigger and better. Google has made a conscious effort to up their game with enhanced eCommerce to bridge the gap with other Analytics software like Adobe’s Site Catalyst.
With these advancements in eCommerce reporting capabilities Jimmy has recently implemented custom eCommerce reporting for Google Analytics.
Just like all other reports you can build in Jimmy, the eCommerce reports are done in the same way with the same customisation levels. As usual you can add them into a reusable template, schedule automatic emails to clients (or to yourself) or share real time dashboards.
Few things to note:
Reports can be built with 3 main dimensions:
- Product Performance – looks at metrics (ie Sales, Quantity etc) per individual product made during the selected date range.
- Product Category performance – This gives you more granularity to report on and you can have both product performance as well as category dimensions within the same table report.
- SKU – your own Stockkeeping unit (also known as SKU) can be reported on.
As with all other Google Analytics reports you build in Jimmy, you can segment these reports with your own custom segments imported directly from your selected account. This allows for further segmenting of the shopping data.
There are a number of eCommerce metrics to choose from when building out your tables. These include:
- Unique Purchases
- Product Revenue
- Average Price
- Average QTY
Like all reports, building a Google Analytics eCommerce report in JimmyData is super easy.
Simply add an Analytics widget as you would with another other Analytics report. Select the Analytics account you want to pull data from and then go down to build a Table:
Once you select the eCommerce report click on continue. Then you have your widget customisation settings:
Hit save and your eCommerce report is done!
